Ann Bernard is an author, world traveler, confidence builder, Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and an avid adventurer.
In 8th grade, Ann received the bookworm award as voted on by her classmates; she had an unquenchable thirst for books and a growing desire to begin writing. At her High School graduation she received the Nick Laviolette Memorial Award, given “To the Senior Who Has Shown the Most Improvement in English in Four Year.” She didn’t however pursue her desire to write past High School after getting feedback that making it as a writer, and being financially secure while doing it, were very unlikely to happen. She instead joined the Marine Corps and departed for boot camp, two months after her high school graduation.
Ten years later, she left active duty to answer the entrepreneurial call; another risky venture that definitely did not financially pay off. It is however through her business ventures that she began to blog, which, besides her journaling, became her greatest outlet to express herself in the written word.
The many encounters with business and relationship failures ultimately led her to God; the best thing to happen in her life.
Once God entered her life, Ann’s life changed drastically. Ann faithfully obeyed the Lord and He led her to fulfilling her heart’s desires. Her relationship with her family was restored, she went back to school and completed her degree, she finally competed in bodybuilding (Women’s Physique), and she found herself traveling all over Europe having incredible new experiences. But what about writing?
Good things come to those who are obedient, faithful and patient. There is a season for everything…and the writing season is finally here!
